I’m going to make a bold statement and say that chickpeas are my favorite (healthy) food. But seriously name another food, that is high in protein AND #gutfriendly fiber, can be made into pasta OR a sweet snack (I’m looking at you @bienasnacks )!
1/2 cup of canned chickpeas aka garbanzo beans, contains 6g of #plantbasedprotein and 6g of fiber (mostly soluble). Have IBS? Chickpeas are #lowfodmap in 1/4 cup serving (and moderately high in GOS in 1/2 cup!)
My favorite way to eat chickpeas (specifically @traderjoes canned organic) is to toss them in Sriacha and Tamari then roast then at 425 degrees F for 15 minutes. Add to salads, Buddha bowls or eat as a snack
